Assistive technology assessments
We identify equipment and technology to help you live more independently.
Our assessments match you with the right aids and provide reports for funding.
We evaluate what you can do and what support you need. Our assessments help you access supports to improve or maintain your skills.
What is an assistive technology assessment?
An assistive technology (AT) assessment identifies equipment and aids that can improve your independence and safety. We evaluate your needs and recommend specific products that work for your situation.
Our assessment reports can help you:
Access NDIS funding for recommended equipment.
Understand which aids will best support your goals.
Get proper training on using new equipment.
Justify equipment costs with professional evidence.
We help people of all ages with autism, mental health needs, physical disability, developmental delays or anyone struggling with daily tasks.
Our therapists help you develop practical skills that improve your everyday life.
Types of equipment we assess
We assess and recommend equipment across all areas of daily life:
Mobility aids: Wheelchairs, transfer boards, and hoists.
Daily living aids: Modified cutlery, dressing aids, shower chairs, and kitchen equipment.
Sensory tools: Noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, and fidget tools.
Technology: Computer access tools, environmental controls, and specialised software.
We also provide training to ensure you can use your equipment safely and effectively.

What to expect
Here's how we find the right equipment for your needs.
Initial consultation
We discuss your daily challenges and goals to understand what equipment might help. We'll review any current AT you use and identify areas where new technology could improve your independence.

Equipment trial
You'll try different aids to find what works best. For smaller items, we might bring options to test. For larger or expensive equipment like wheelchairs or hoists, we arrange trials at home with suppliers or visits to equipment showrooms.
